Cabomba caroliniana Cabomba is a good oxygenator. Delicate and feathery with reddish-green foliage, it grows quickly in warm water. Lacy leaves in whorls. Good for spawning. Needs good light and warmer water.

Ceratophyllum demursum Hornwort has branching stems with spiny foliage. Looks like a green spruce tree.

Elodea densa Water thyme is a quick grower with short, dark green leaves along entire stem.

Myriophyllum milfoil  Red foxtail is good for spawning fish. Rusty red in color, it forms pretty red bushy foliage resembling a fox's tail.
