Sagittaria lancifolia Arrowhead has dark green, spear-shaped foliage that grows to 36" tall in full sun to partial shade. Clusters of white flowers with yellow centers appear in summer. Excellent for pond shorelines. Water depth-maximum 12".

Sagitteria latifolia Duck potatoes were named by the North American Indians for the edible tubers produced by these plants growing at pond's edge and in bogs in full sun to partial shade. Typha angustifolia Graceful cattails grows 3-6' tall in full sun with tall, slender leaves which sway in the breeze. The cattail blooms appear in late spring, turning brown in summer. Water depth-maximum 6".

Typha minima Miniature cattail grows in full sun with very slender, stiff leaves reaching 18' tall. Rising above the foliage in late summer are decorative miniature brown cylindrical seedheads on 20"-30" stalks. Water depth-moist to maximum 2".

Veronica beccabunga Brooklime has fleshy, cylindrical hollow stems and small blue flowers with white centers which bloom throughout the summer. It's semievergreen. Reaches 12" in full sun to partial shade. Water depth-maximum 4".
