Azolla caroliniana Fairy moss is a small plant that forms mats of bluish-green lacy fronds on the water surface. Pale green in summer, it turns red in autumn. Fast growing surface cover helps cut down on algae growth.

Hydrocharis morsus-ranae Frogbit is a fast spreading floating perennial plant with heart-shaped leaves and white flowers resembling miniature water lilies.

Hydrocleys nymphoides lhe 2" yellow flowers of the water poppy push up above handsome 3" wide oval leaves in summer. lhis hardy perennial has three-petaled flowers with velvety brown centers.

Lemna minor Duckweed is a tiny plant with 1/8" leaves. It spreads rapidly creating shade and algae control. A favorite snack for goldfish.

Nymphoides cristata Floating heart has tiny waterlily shaped leaves with dark red edges. Its clusters of snowflake flowers are held above the water and bloom all summer.
